Christmas light installation for Antelope's 1990s and 2000s tract homes, north of Sacramento.
A neighborhood built in one stretch
Almost all of Antelope went up between about 1990 and 2003. The tracts between Watt Avenue, Antelope Road, Walerga Road and Elverta Road are two-story and single-story stucco homes, mostly 1,400 to 2,200 square feet, on lots sized for a two-car garage and a short front lawn. Subdivisions like Antelope Highlands date from the mid-1990s. Composition shingle roofs are common on the earlier tracts and concrete tile on later ones. Street trees were planted with the houses and are now big enough to matter.
Two-story tracts and what gets lit
On a two-story Antelope home the upper roofline is what the street sees, so that is the main run: C9 LED bulbs clipped to the gutter lip across the front gable and the upper eave, with the garage roofline below. On tile roofs the clip hooks under the first course. The line is cut to the roofline and runs straight. Power comes from the garage outlet or a front porch outlet, with a timer at the plug.
From there the common additions are a wrapped front-yard tree, stake lights along the walk and driveway, lit shrubs under the windows and fence line lights on a corner lot. Garland and a warm-white pre-lit wreath finish the entry. Warm white and multicolor bulbs are both available.
Many Antelope tracts have an HOA. Check the association’s seasonal-decoration window and we schedule inside it. Installs run early November through December; takedown is in January.
Quotes, route and storage
Christmas Light Brothers is based in Folsom, about 17 miles south by Interstate 80. North Highlands and the west side of Roseville sit on the same route. Quotes are free. Send the address, the number of stories, the roof type and the parts you want lit, plus a sidewalk photo, and most quotes come back without a visit. Call (916) 659-6549. We take the lights down in January and store them until next season, and we fix anything that stops working mid-season.
Common questions in Antelope
Can you light the upper roofline without going on the roof?
Yes. Upper eaves are done from ladders along the edge rather than from the roof surface. The clips hold the line at the gutter or tile edge, so nothing is fastened to the roof itself.
My neighbors on the cul-de-sac want to book together.
Send all the addresses in one request. Homes next to each other are scheduled on the same visit.
Do you do businesses on Antelope Road?
Yes. Storefront rooflines and parking-lot trees are run on commercial-grade line with a timer set for business hours.
