Roofline, tree and driveway lighting for the gated golf-course homes of Morgan Creek in west Roseville.

Homes around the Morgan Creek Golf Club

Morgan Creek is a gated community built around the Morgan Creek Golf Club on the west side of Roseville. The homes are large. Many run 3,500 to 5,000 square feet, and the mix includes single-story and two-story plans. Lots range from about a fifth of an acre to more than a third, and a small group of homes sits on the community’s man-made lake.

That size changes the job. A two-story home here can have 250 feet or more of roofline once the gables, dormers and garage returns are counted. We measure from the address and a sidewalk photo before we quote, so the strand count and the number of clips are set before the crew arrives.

Getting a crew through the gate

Morgan Creek is gated, so we need a way in on install day and again on takedown day. Most homeowners leave the crew’s name at the gate or give us a one-day code. Tell us which when you book.

The community has an HOA. Check the association’s seasonal-decoration rule and we work inside that window for both install and removal.

What we light on a Morgan Creek home

    • Roofline: C9 LED bulbs on commercial-grade line, clipped to the gutter lip or the shingle edge. The line is cut to the roofline, so every corner and peak is followed rather than draped.
    • Trees: spiral wraps on the trunks and main limbs of the front-yard trees, with a set number of strands per tree so the light is even.
    • Driveways: stake lights along the long driveways and walkways on these lots.
    • Columns and entries: garland and warm-white pre-lit wreaths on the entry columns and over the garage.

Warm white and multicolor bulbs are both available. Warm white is the usual choice on the larger homes here; multicolor reads well on trees and shrubs. Every install runs on a timer at the exterior outlet, so the lights come on at dusk and go off at the hour you set.

    Mid-season fixes and takedown

If a section stops working during December, call and we come back to fix it. Takedown runs in January. We remove the clips, coil the line and can store your lights until next season.

    Common questions in Morgan Creek

Do you need to see the house before quoting a Morgan Creek home?
Usually not. The address, the number of stories, the roof type and the parts you want lit are enough. A photo from the sidewalk helps on the larger two-story plans.

Can you light the back of a home that faces the golf course?
Yes. Tell us which elevations you want lit. The back of a course-facing home is quoted the same way as the front.

What happens to the lights in January?
We take them down, coil them and either hand them back or store them for you until next year.
