Ashley Woods is a gated subdivision in Granite Bay near the Granite Bay Golf Club, with most homes built in 1999 and 2000 on streets such as Lockridge Drive, Silkwood Way and Allenwood Court. Many lots back onto a greenbelt or preserve, and some sit on private drives. Ashley Woods West is a related section on the Granite Bay and Roseville line. The homes are four- and five-bedroom plans from the same era, so the rooflines repeat down the street: entry, a few gables and a garage.

A home from 1999 has standard gutters, and the C9 LED line clips to the gutter lip along every eave. Gables are clipped to the shingle edge up to the peak. Each eave and gable is a separate cut run so the bulbs follow the real roof edge instead of hanging between peaks. Tell us if your roof is composition shingle or tile. Roofs from that year are reaching replacement age, and a new tile or metal roof changes the clip.

Power comes from an exterior outlet by the garage or entry. A timer at the plug turns the lights on at dusk and off at the hour you set.

Warm white is the common choice on the street. Multicolor is available on the roofline or on a tree. Mixed is fine.

Lots that back to the preserve have the rear of the house open to the trail. The front is the usual job; the rear eave can be added as its own run. Trees planted when the subdivision was built are now full size and take a spiral wrap on the trunk and main limbs with a set strand count. Stake lights along the driveway and front walk and strand lights on the foundation shrubs finish the front.

Ashley Woods is gated. We need the code or a guest entry for the install and for takedown in January. The subdivision has an association; check its seasonal-decoration rule and tell us the window. If a run goes out mid-season we fix it, and we can store your lights until next year.

Yes. We park on the drive or the street and carry ladders in. Let us know if the drive is narrow.

We had a tile roof put on last year. Does that change anything?
Only the clip. The line seats at the gutter lip and the eave tile with no drilling.
