Roofline, tree and driveway lighting for the guard-gated estates of Catta Verdera in Lincoln.

Catta Verdera is a guard-gated golf community in Lincoln built around the Catta Verdera Country Club. The homes are large custom estates from the mid-2000s on. Many are in Mediterranean, Spanish and Tuscan styles with tile roofs, stucco walls, arched entries and courtyards. Many of the lots face the course.

Tile changes how a roofline is lit. We do not clip to the tile and we do not drill it. The C9 LED line is clipped to the gutter lip, and where a run has no gutter, the line is held at the edge with a clip made for that purpose. The line is cut to each run so it follows the eave, the parapet and the arch without draping. On a two-story estate the upper and lower eaves are separate runs, and the courtyard walls can be lit as a third.

Access is controlled by a 24-hour staffed gatehouse. Call the gate ahead with the crew’s name for the install date and the takedown date, and tell us the name the gate will have on file. The community has an association. Check its seasonal-decoration rule and we work inside that window.

• Trees are wrapped in a spiral with a set strand count per tree. Tell us which trees you want lit and the count goes in the quote.
• Long driveways and motor courts get stake lights along the edge, on the same timer as the roofline.
• Entry columns, iron gates and courtyard walls take garland and warm-white pre-lit wreaths.
• Fairway-facing elevations can be lit if you want the back of the home visible from the course.

Warm white is the usual choice on tile-and-stucco homes. Multicolor is available. All of it runs from an exterior outlet with a timer at the plug, and on a large estate we often use two outlets so the roofline and the landscape are on separate leads.

Will clips damage a tile roof?
No. We clip to the gutter lip and never to the tile. Nothing is drilled.

Can the lights follow an arched entry?
Yes. The line is cut and clipped to follow the arch. Tight curves use more clips.

Can you store the lights after the season?
Yes. Takedown is in January and storage until next year is available.
