Roofline, tree and walkway lighting for La Riviera homes between the American River and Highway 50.
La Riviera homes
La Riviera runs along the south bank of the American River with Highway 50 as its southern edge and Folsom Boulevard as its main street. The housing is mostly single-story ranch homes and half-plexes on quiet loop streets off La Riviera Drive, with trees that have had decades to grow. About half the homes are owner-occupied. Four Gold Line light rail stops, Watt/Manlove, Starfire, Tiber and Butterfield, sit along the Folsom Boulevard side, and Glenbrook Shopping Center is at the Watt Avenue offramp.
What mature trees change
The big trees are the first thing we look at in La Riviera. A tall front-yard tree can block the roofline from the street, so on a lot like that we usually light the tree first and the roofline second. Trunk wrapping uses a set number of strands in a spiral from the base to the first main limbs, and we can carry the wrap out onto two or three branches. Smaller ornamental trees get a full canopy wrap.
A single-story ranch roofline is a straight clip job along the gutter lip. Where the house has a low-pitch hip roof with no gable, the line runs the full front and the side that shows from the corner so it looks finished.
River-side details
Houses on the parkway side of La Riviera Drive back onto the American River Parkway and get wind off the river. We use a clip at every bulb and secure cord runs so a windy week does not pull the line loose. Timers go at the outlet, so lights come on at dusk and off at a set hour. Walkway stake lights and bush lights along the front are both available, as are garland and warm-white wreaths for the entry.
Quotes and nearby areas
Call (916) 659-6549 for a free quote. We price from the address, the number of stories, the roof type and the parts you want lit, so most La Riviera homes do not need a visit. Installs run from early November through December, with takedown and storage in January. We are based in Folsom, about 15 miles east on Highway 50, and also serve Rosemont, Rancho Cordova and Arden-Arcade.
Common questions in La Riviera
Will the lights hold up in wind off the river?
Yes. Every bulb is clipped, the line is cut to the roofline rather than draped, and cords are secured. If something does come loose, we fix it mid-season.
Can you wrap only the trunk of a large tree?
Yes. A trunk wrap to the first limbs is the most common option for large trees. Going further out on the branches adds strands and cost, and we can quote both.
Do you light half-plexes?
Yes. We light your side of the roofline on its own timer. If both owners want lights, we can do both units on the same visit.
