Christmas light installation in Anatolia, the master-planned community in southeast Rancho Cordova.
More than 2,000 homes since 2005
Anatolia is a master-planned community in Rancho Cordova with more than 2,000 single-family homes. The first homes sold in 2005 and building continued through the following decade. A master association runs the clubhouse, with three pools, and the community has trails, preserved wetlands, four parks and two elementary schools inside it. Homes are stucco with concrete tile roofs, single-story and two-story, on flat suburban lots.
The master association and the unit associations have rules on seasonal decorations. Check the rule for your unit for the dates lights may go up and come down. We work inside that window.
A tile roof, two stories, one front elevation
Most of the work in Anatolia is the roofline. C9 LED bulbs on commercial-grade line clip under the first course of tile and ride the gutter lip where there is one. The line is cut to each gable, corner and step so it follows the roof instead of draping. Two-story homes have an upper eave and a lower eave, and a front gable over the garage on many plans. Each takes its own run so the outline reads from the sidewalk.
Power is the exterior outlet by the garage or the entry. A timer at the plug turns the lights on at dusk and off at the hour you choose.
Yards, trails and the color choice
Trees in Anatolia are about 10 to 20 years old and mid-size, and a full spiral wrap to the first fork or to the tips is the standard tree job. Shrubs get nets, and walks and driveway edges take stake lights. Lots that back onto a trail or a wetland edge can take fence line lights along the top rail for the trail side.
You can run warm white on the house and color in the yard, or one color everywhere. A warm-white lit wreath on the garage or the door is a common add.
Season, fixes, takedown and your quote
Installs start in early November and continue through December. Any run that fails during the season gets fixed. January is takedown, with storage until next season if you want it. No charge for the quote. Send the address, the number of stories, the roof type and the parts you want lit, with a photo from the sidewalk, and most quotes come back without a visit. Call (916) 659-6549. Anatolia is about 10 miles southwest of Folsom. The Rancho Cordova page covers the city. Folsom is up Highway 50, and Vineyard is the next area south.
Common questions in Anatolia
When can lights go up in Anatolia?
Inside the window in your association’s seasonal-decoration rule. Check the rule for your unit and tell us the dates.
Does the tile clip mark the roof?
No. It hooks under the first course and lifts off at takedown with no fastener.
Can you do the house and the back patio?
Yes. The patio roofline is a separate run from a back outlet, on the same timer schedule.
