Christmas light installation in Vineyard, the newest housing in south Sacramento County.
New houses, young trees
Vineyard sits between Jackson Road and Calvine Road, east of Elk Grove Florin Road and west of Grant Line Road. Most of its homes were built after 2000. Churchill Downs has Elliott Homes from around 2001. Vintage Park, Wildhawk and Vineyard Point Village filled in through the 2000s, and the North Vineyard Station area between Florin Road, Gerber Road and Vineyard Road is still building. These are stucco homes, many two-story, with concrete tile roofs on lots that leave a short front yard and a two-car driveway.
Street trees here were planted with the houses and are still small. So the roofline carries the install. C9 LED bulbs on commercial-grade line, clipped under the first course of tile across the upper eave and the garage gable, cut to length so the run is straight. A timer at the exterior outlet runs it.
Filling in the front yard
Because the trees are young, the ground-level pieces matter more here than in older neighborhoods. Stake lights along the driveway and front walk. Bush lights on the shrubs under the front windows. Fence line lights along the side yard of a corner lot. Garland and a warm-white pre-lit wreath at the door. Multicolor or warm white, the customer’s choice.
Most Vineyard subdivisions have an HOA with a seasonal-decoration rule. Check your association’s window and we work inside it. Installs run early November through December and takedown is in January.
Getting on the schedule
Christmas Light Brothers is based in Folsom, about 20 miles north by Grant Line Road. Vineyard is covered on the same days as Elk Grove and Florin. Quotes are free. Send the address, the number of stories, the roof type and which parts you want lit, plus a photo from the sidewalk, and most quotes need no site visit. Call (916) 659-6549. Takedown and storage until next season are included, and anything that stops working mid-season gets fixed.
Common questions in Vineyard
My house is new. Will clips damage the tile?
No. Tile clips hook under the tile edge and hold the line without screws, nails or adhesive. They come off clean at takedown.
Can the lights come down before my HOA deadline?
Yes. Give us the date when you book and we schedule the takedown ahead of it.
Is there enough on a new lot to light besides the roof?
Yes. Driveway stakes, walkway stakes, window shrubs and the entry wreath fill the front of a new lot while the trees grow in.
