Christmas light installation for the Bass Lake Village and Bass Lake Hills tracts along Bass Lake Road in El Dorado Hills.
Where Bass Lake homes stand
The Bass Lake area of El Dorado Hills runs along Bass Lake Road and takes in the established Bass Lake Village tract and the newer Bass Lake Hills phases, where Lennar is building at Hawk View, Sapphire Cliff and Emerald Peak. The older sections have three- and four-bedroom homes on standard tract lots. The new phases are mostly two-story homes with tile roofs, some with attached private suites, on larger homesites. Serrano is next door.
Two-story rooflines
A two-story home with front-facing gables carries more roofline than it looks from the street. Each gable, the main eave and the garage eave are separate runs of C9 LED bulbs on commercial-grade line, cut to length and clipped to the gutter lip or shingle edge. We do not drape line across gaps. On tile, the clip holds at the gutter and eave tile without drilling.
The upper peaks are reached from a ladder set on the driveway, so keep the driveway clear on install day. One exterior outlet near the garage usually powers the whole front, with a timer at the plug.
Trees and the front yard
Street trees in the newer phases are small and wrap quickly. In the older sections the front-yard trees have had time to grow, and a mature tree takes a spiral wrap up the trunk and along the main limbs with a set number of strands. Stake lights line the driveway and front walk. Shrubs along the house get strand lights.
Color choice
Warm white and multicolor bulbs are both available, and the choice is yours. Warm white reads clean along a long eave. Multicolor stands out on a two-story roofline. Many owners put warm white on the roof and multicolor on one tree.
Timers, fixes, takedown, quote
Every job gets a timer. If something goes out in December we come back and fix it. We take everything down in January and can store your lights until next year. The Bass Lake tracts have associations; check the seasonal-decoration rule for yours and we work inside it.
For a free quote, send your address, the number of stories, the roof type and which parts you want lit. Photos from the sidewalk help. Call (916) 659-6549 or fill out the form at the bottom. See also Serrano and Blackstone.
Common questions in Bass Lake
Our new build has no outlet on the front of the house. What then?
We can run from a garage outlet under the door seal with a flat cord, or from a side-yard outlet. Tell us where your outlets are and we plan around them.
How long does a two-story install take?
Most single-visit installs are finished the same day. Larger homes with several trees take longer.
Can we add lights later in the season?
Yes. A second visit to add a tree or the garage run is scheduled like any other job, subject to the calendar.
