Whitney Ranch is a master-planned community in Rocklin with homes going back to about 2006 and new phases still selling. The New Home Company built Canyon View, a group of 92 larger two-story plans with up to six bedrooms, Anthem built Finale, and JMC Homes has single-story plans from the past few years. The Vicara condos sit along Whitney Ranch Parkway. The Ranch House is the HOA clubhouse, and parks and trails run through the neighborhood.
The housing mix means the quote starts with your plan: single-story, two-story, or a two-story with a side-loaded garage. Each has a different roofline length and a different ladder set-up, and the strand count follows from that.
Roofline and trees on a Whitney Ranch home
C9 LED bulbs go on a commercial-grade line clipped to the gutter lip or shingle edge. We cut the line to each run so corners, garage returns and gables are followed, not draped. On a two-story plan the upper and lower eaves are separate runs.
Front yards here are small to mid-size with young trees. A young tree takes two to four strands in a spiral; a larger tree takes more. Shrubs along the front take net lights, and stake lights go along the walk or the driveway edge.
Power comes from an exterior outlet near the garage, and the lead is routed along the base of the wall rather than across the walk.
Timers, color and the association

- Warm white or multicolor bulbs. Both are available.
- Whitney Ranch has an association. Check its seasonal-decoration rule and we work inside that window.
- Install early November through December. Takedown in January. Storage available.
