Christmas light installation for Madeira East, Madeira Ranch, Marquesa, Wind Song and the other Madeira villages in south Elk Grove.

Madeira is a group of Taylor Morrison villages in south Elk Grove, ZIP 95757. Madeira East opened in 2014 with the Aveiro, Prado and Viana neighborhoods and homes in Craftsman, Cottage and Santa Barbara styles. Marquesa at Madeira is two-story, about 1,900 to 2,600 square feet. Wind Song at Madeira was built around 2014 to 2016. Madeira Ranch, around Madeira Ranch Drive, and Madeira South are newer, with homes built into the 2020s. The villages have associations. Check your association’s seasonal-decoration rule, and we work inside that window.

A Craftsman front has a wide low gable, a porch with square columns and deep eaves. The line runs the gable edge, the porch beam and the columns. A Cottage front has steeper gables and a smaller porch, so the line is cut into more short pieces to follow each peak. A Santa Barbara front is stucco with a low-pitch tile roof and few breaks, so the line is one long run along the tile edge. All three are stucco over concrete tile, and the clip hooks under the first course. Nothing goes into the tile or the stucco.

Two-story plans take an upper run and a lower run.

Lots here are compact and the trees are about 12 years old or younger. A young tree takes a full wrap of the trunk and limbs to the tips. Shrubs are covered with net lights. The walk and the driveway edge take stake lights. Fence line lights along the side gate add to a narrow frontage. Many homes in Madeira have solar on the roof. We keep the line to the eave and off the panels.

Both warm white and multicolor are stocked. Power is the exterior outlet by the garage or the door, with a timer at the plug set to your hours.

Installs go on from early November to the end of December. If a run fails during the season, we come back. Lights come down in January and go into storage until next year if you want. Do solar panels get in the way?
No. The line stays on the eave edge below the panels, and we do not walk on or clip to the panels.

Can you match the lights to the house style?
Yes. Warm white fits the Santa Barbara and Cottage fronts, and either color works on a Craftsman. Tell us what you want.

Does a two-story cost more to quote?
No. A two-story home has more roofline, so the price reflects the extra line, and the quote states that number.
