Natomas Park opened in 1999 in North Natomas, ZIP 95835. It has more than 3,900 single-family homes on about 1,250 acres, with the Club at Natomas Park as the shared center and a community association that covers the whole neighborhood. Most houses date from around 2000 to 2005. They are stucco, single-story and two-story, with concrete tile roofs and front-loaded garages on flat lots.

Natomas Park has a homeowners association. Check its seasonal-decoration rule for the dates lights may go up and come down, and we work inside that window. The association sets the window, not us.

Concrete tile is the roof on most Natomas Park homes. We use a tile clip that hooks under the first course and holds the C9 LED line at the edge. Nothing is screwed into the tile or the stucco. The line follows the gutter where there is one. A two-story home has an upper eave and a lower eave, often with a front gable over the garage, and each takes its own run cut to length so the outline reads from the street.

Lots are flat and close together. The front is where the lights go. Side yards are narrow and the back is usually a fence line and a patio. Fence line lights on the back fence and a patio roofline can be added if you use the yard in December.

Trees in Natomas Park are 20 to 25 years old, so most are mid-size. A full spiral wrap of the trunk and main limbs is the common tree job. Shrubs get net lights. Stake lights run the walk and the driveway edge. Many homes here go with warm white on the roof and color in the yard, and many go all multicolor. Both are available.

Lights run on a timer at the exterior outlet. If a strand or a run fails during the season, we come back and fix it. Takedown is in January. We can store your lights until next year. Will the clips damage the tile?
No. Tile clips hook under the first course and come off at takedown without fasteners.

Can you light the back fence?
Yes. Fence line lights run along the top rail from a back outlet.
